dr Tomasz Lupa
Was born on 11th August 1977 in Jaroslaw (Poland). He has graduated with excellent grade from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in piano class of Professor Czeslaw Stanczyk. He studied also an ancient music in Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milano in class of Professor Laura Alvini.
Since 2005 he is an assistant of Professor Jerzy Sterczynski in the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Since 2012 has a doctoral degree. Between September 2013 and June 2014 he was an associated professor in Keimyung University in Daegu (South Korea).

November 1994 – First prize on domestic Piano Competition of Contemporary Music in Wroclaw.
1995-1996 – Some recordings for Polish Radio – solo and chamber music of Polish contemporary composers (Witold Szalonek, Kazimierz Serocki, Ryszard Bukowski)
September 2000 – First Prize on IV International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Krakow
May 2001 – Main prize – scholarship of the Leopold Kronenberg Foundation on IV Domestic Competition of Contemporary Music in Radziejowice
April 2002 – Execution of Piano Concerto of W. Lutoslawski in Katowice
September 2003 – Prizewinner on XXXVII Polish Piano Festival in Slupsk
October 2003 – June 2004 – Studies in International Music Accademy in Milan (old keyboard instruments) thanks to a scholarship of Marco Fodella foundation
2002-2005 – Master classes with: Dominique Merlet, Alexei Nasiedkin, Evgeny Moguilevsky, Trevor Pinnock, Malcolm Bilson
27th October 2006 – First execution of Concerto for Two Pianos, Percussion and String Orchestra of Ryszard Bukowski in Wroclaw
September 2010 – A mention for execution of Szymanowski’s Study in B flat minor on Concours Grieg in Oslo
May 2012 – A prize for best performance of Mozart obligatory piece on International Mozart Competition in Frascati (Italy)
